excerpt from 'lily by the window'
i've always favored realism in art; from my first exposure to the works of the old masters, i've held in awe those artists whose works are virtually indistinguishable from real life. it's always been my dream to create that level of art ...someday, maybe i'll figure out how to achieve it - meanwhile, thanks for your interest in my journey! you will notice that once i have completed an artistic element, i frequently create other derivative pieces using these primary elements - it's one of the side benefits of working in a digital medium! it's also what makes spending, for example, a year's worth of free time creating the red-tailed hawk in hawk ascending worthwhile!

portraits & artistic nudes ______________________________
note: while the nude form has been a classic artist's subject for as long as there have been artists, it's not my intent to surprise or offend the unsuspecting visitor, nor to make the site family unfriendly or workplace inappropriate. therefore i've decided to cull the nude content from the rest of the herd, and give it its own paddock. at this time, this section is under construction... please check back at a later time. |
